In a significant show of grassroots support, the Women of Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, have formally endorsed Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, for a second term in office.
The endorsement was the highlight of the group’s meeting held on August 12, 2025 at the Women’s Hall, Umueri. Presiding over the occasion as Chairman, Dr. Egbuna Vepo Okechi made the powerful declaration on behalf of the assembled women.
Dr. Okechi, addressing the gathering, passionately articulated the women’s confidence in the incumbent administration. He emphatically stated their collective decision to back Governor Soludo and Deputy Governor Ibezim for re-election, citing their proven track record.
Dr. Okechi’s remarks clearly indicated that the Umueri women have witnessed and appreciated tangible progress and positive changes driven by the Governor’s policies and initiatives across the state, resonating within their own community in Anambra East.
