
Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, CFR, on March 6, 2025, received a delegation from the management of Shanahan University, led by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Josephat Oguejiofor, at the Governor’s Lodge in Awka.
During the meeting, Governor Soludo emphasized the importance of quality education, charging the university management to strive for excellence in all aspects.
The Governor also encouraged them to focus on producing well-rounded graduates who can make meaningful contributions to society.
“A school is only as good as the quality of its teachers and its quality of teaching,” Governor Soludo stressed. “I charge you to put in significant effort into making Shanahan University ‘the university’ of choice, particularly in attracting and retaining top-quality teaching staff.”

Governor Soludo further pledged his administration’s support for the university’s growth and development, particularly in areas that require state intervention.
He expressed his commitment to improving the standards of education in the state through better and more strategic investments in public schools, as well as continuing to extend support to mission schools in the state.
Earlier in their conversation, the team congratulated Governor Soludo on his recent award as the Sun Newspaper Governor of the Year.
This meeting reflects the collaborative efforts between the Anambra State government and Shanahan University, demonstrating their shared commitment to promoting quality education in the state.
