Okpoko, once a symbol of urban slum in the state, longed for a leader who could bring relief to its people in the face of hardship. Okpoko, now known as New Haven, boasts over 19 kilometers of newly constructed internal roads, designed to ease mobility and provide better access for residents and businesses to thrive.
Similarly, the healthcare system has been dramatically improved. After years of waiting for a leader who would address their health needs, the people of Okpoko now have access to the first-ever ultramodern general hospital in the area, offering free antenatal services, deliveries, caesareans, and comprehensive care for pregnant women and children.
In addition, the construction of Solution pipe-borne water, fondly referred to as Mmili Soludo, has replaced the unsafe and contaminated water sources that had led to frequent cholera outbreaks in Okpoko.
Governor Soludo’s leadership has brought about a comprehensive transformation of Okpoko into New Haven. Streets that were once unpaved and dark are now well-lit with solar-powered streetlights, ensuring a brighter and safer environment for the community, and leaving behind a legacy for future generations.
