Mr Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Saturday August 3rd 2024 at Amansea, made a decisive move that came as a strategic response to the simmering unrest of hunger that has gripped a greater part of the Nation right now.
To this effect, he launched a timely and potentially game changing Agricultural initiative as protests over food inflation and skyrocketing prices of necessities rocks the nation.
Soludo’s “Operation Farm to Feed” campaign offers a grassroots sustainable solution to crisis that has threatened to engulf our nation. “This initiative is to turn our challenges into opportunities”, he said. Therefore, he urged Ndi Anambra to embrace agriculture on subsistence level, from sprawling rural homesteads to the modest backyards of urban dwellers in order to bring food inflation to a minimum.
He assured Ndi Anambra that his government will continue to support them by distributing economic trees as stated in his mantra so as to eradicate poverty in Anambra in the nearest years.
